Ministry & Community Partners
Unitarian Universalism is a religion of the here and now. First Universalist Unitarian Church of Wausau volunteers with and financially supports various causes, from hands-on local projects to international human rights advocacy.
MINISTRY PARTNERS
Community Focus Collections
We strive to be a place of inspiration, reflection, and rejuvenation for those who invest countless volunteer hours tutoring, coaching, cleaning parks and trails, preparing community dinners, and serving on the boards of environmental, educational, athletic, and civic leadership organizations.
Once a month, our Sunday collection is given to a selected organization that puts our values, vision, and mission into practice. Please watch for announcements of new and ongoing projects of the Social Action Committee and Caring Committee, get involved, and lend a hand.
Over the past decade, we’ve disbursed over $40,000 to groups and causes, including:
- New Beginnings For Refugees
- Fill A Backpack, Fill A Need
