Gratitude. What’s Making our Hearts Glad? – Congregation
Acknowledging the things in life for which we are grateful can be a great way to start a day or move us away from distractions keeping us from embracing the good. Before we let the Thanksgiving spirit dissipate into the Christmas bustle, we will use our time together on 12/8 to share our gratitudes. This will be a congregation participation Sunday when all will have the opportunity to speak of something for which they are grateful. Maybe it’s church related, or a special family member or friend. Perhaps an unexpected life event has brought you gladness or lightened your burden. Each individual sharing will add to our collective gratitude for making the decision to be present for one another for this service. Who knows? Maybe we’ll start a new service tradition.
