FUTURE GIFTS
Planned Giving
The First Universalist Unitarian Church of Wausau honors members who recognize the critical need to assure UU Wausau’s future by providing gifts that will support the services, programs, and resources that benefit our member congregations, our local community, and our wider faith movement. In becoming a Red Granite Legacy Society member, you make an extraordinary gift to Unitarian Universalism that is a lasting testament to your values.
Legacy Giving
Your legacy gift supporting the long-term health of the church can take many forms. Depending on your financial situation and the significance or complexity of your legacy gift, consulting with your lawyer or financial advisor is often a good idea. Including the church in your will is quite common, or consider adding a codicil to your existing will. Listing the church as a beneficiary of your IRA can be an easy and tax-efficient option. Charitable Remainder Trusts and other lesser-known options can be good choices for some.
Endowment Fund
The Endowment Fund was established to make possible those programs and projects beyond the scope of the annual operating budget. The Endowment Fund has enabled many past projects and building improvements. Donations to the Endowment Fund can be made by anyone at any time (see “Giving by Check” above). Historically, most contributions to the Endowment Fund have come as a result of bequests, i.e., people who have included the church in their will or estate plan.

UU WAUSAU
Red Granite Legacy Society
Their gifts of time, talent, and treasure have profoundly transformed our congregations and our Unitarian Universalist community. Their dedication to love and justice will continue to enrich the lives they touched.
As we remember these friends who loved our faith with all their hearts and whose hopes for the future now rest with us, may we renew our own commitment to this faith we share, a faith that connects us to generations gone and generations to come.
