Being an adult is cool, but only kinda. For starters, holidays aren’t quite as simple as they once were. Loss, stress, war, cultural nihilism, bifocals, taxes, winter. But then, lest we forget, there’s also Dolly Parton, Oreos, laser tag, and seeds planted somewhere waiting to burst with life. The global church just flipped the calendar from “Ordinary Time” to “Advent,” a season that invites us to meditate on the tension between what is and what’s being hoped for. This Sunday we’ll explore the joy of counting down and Advent’s theme of expectant waiting.
This Month’s Ministry Partner
On the third weekend of each month, our Sunday collection is given to a selected Ministry Partner who puts our mission statement into practice.
As a congregation, we continue to live our vision by volunteering at and donating to these influential community organizations and causes.
This month, we’re proud to donate our Community Focus Collection to TBA.
