Stirring Imagination: A Spring Art Gathering
At the beginning of Spring, when light and dark meet in balance, we gather for a time of creative expression. This seasonal art gathering invites participants to explore themes of emergence, attention, and the slow awakening of spring and imagination through art-making.
Choose a project that calls to you or bring your own:
- Balanced Collage – Choose a few shapes and images, then arrange them thoughtfully on the page, paying attention to balance, symmetry, and open space. This project invites you to notice how separate pieces relate to one another.
- Embroidered Mandala – Create a stitched mandala as a way to slow down, focus, and notice the present moment. Each stitch is a small, intentional act, helping you connect with balance and the rhythms of the season.
- Spring Egg Art – Decorate a wooden egg as a symbol of new life and possibility. Explore color, pattern, or meaning in whatever way feels right to you.
Our Saturday Art Gatherings welcome artists, crafters, and creative beginners alike, and are open to adults and teens. We provide examples, gentle guidance, and a variety of supplies to spark your process. Participants are also welcome to bring materials from home to use or share at our community resource table!
