Creativity Matters • Pluralism

Event Series Event Series (See All)

May 14 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Remember that you are an artist, regardless of how constantly the world will try to drive it out of you or how a “real job” will try to bury the part of you. Whether it’s with food, or building robots, you will know your medium the instant you realize how in love you are with what it brings out of you.

Shane Koyczan

May’s Creativity Matters theme is “pluralism.” At this meetup, we will explore how pluralism helps widen our perspective to open us to new ways of being creative and how our creativity helps us discover new parts of our pluralistic selves.

Before the session, spend some time with our reflection questions:

Pluralism helps us move beyond our limited views. What piece of art (or experience of art) has most dramatically expanded your view or helped you understand life from a new perspective?

Pluralism is about working to widen the circle to include others, but it’s also about others widening the circle to make room for you. How has art or creativity offered you an experience of inclusion?

What is Creativity Matters?

Our Creativity Matters group helps community members engage in monthly themes and explore spiritual growth through creative expression.

It’s all about allowing our intuition and imagination to guide us, not just our logic and reflective minds. Think of it as making room for your right brain to dance with your left brain.

Creativity Matters is a high school and adult group designed for everyone — no experience or artistic skill is required! Just bring a playful spirit and adventurous attitude.
