The Soul Loves the Body – the Rev. Suzelle Lynch
We Unitarian Universalists are proud of our ability to think and reason, but we’ve been criticized for being a “neck-up” faith. Why? Because sometimes we act like our minds are the only faculty we have for spiritual deepening. Embodied spirituality represents a different wisdom. It reminds us that body and soul are not divided – and asks us to invite all of our human dimensions into our spirituality, community, and our work for a better world.
Guest bio: The Rev. Suzelle Lynch (she/her) served UU congregations in Texas, Washington and California as well as spending 18 years as the minister of UU Church West in Brookfield, WI. Now retired, Rev. Suzelle writes songs, leads labyrinth walks and enjoys the outdoors and various creative pursuits. She lives in Sheboygan, WI with her husband Tom Ness.
This Month’s Ministry Partner
On the third weekend of each month, our Sunday collection is given to a selected Ministry Partner who puts our mission statement into practice.
As a congregation, we continue to live our vision by volunteering at and donating to these influential community organizations and causes.
This month, we’re proud to donate our Community Focus Collection to The Wausau Free Clinic.
