Sunday Worship And Glorified Coffee Hour

Event Series (See All)

March 16 @ 10:30 am 12:30 pm

The Fibers that Bind Us Together – Melody Moberg, preaching

Fibercraft is the art of fiber and textiles, and includes crafts like spinning, knitting, crochet and needlework. It’s not uncommon to find loved ones furiously knitting at a sickbed. Today’s service explores the intersections of fibercraft and grief. How do these ancient practices connect us to memory, love, and loss?

About Melody: Melody Moberg is a member of UU Wausau, a spiritual director, and a candidate for Unitarian Universalist ministry.

Music: Our adult UU Choir will be singing today.

Community Focus Collection (CFC)

On the third weekend of each month (September – May), our Sunday collection is given to a pre-selected Ministry Partner, organization, or cause that puts our values into practice. This Sunday, our CFC will go to Wausau Area Mobile Meals (WAMM). They promote good health among the elderly, convalescing and/or disabled members of the greater Wausau area by delivering hot, nutritious meals with the help of volunteers. Read more on WAMM here. Director Doris Spooner will be speaking on behalf of WAMM.

Join Us On Sundays For Services That Inform & Inspire

Sermons at UU Wausau encompass many topics, but always with the intent of cultivating dialogue and fostering growth. On any given Sunday, you will hear a sermon that stimulates your thinking about life, opens a new perspective on the Bible, or speaks to the state of the world with words of hope or healing. Join us Sunday in person as we worship together.
