Taming Our Lust for Spirituality: A Longer and Closer Look at Neurons
Guest speaker: Greg Venne
Current research in the workings of our brain opens deeper understandings of how and why we feel and think the way we do. Scientists count over 100 billion neurons in our brain that constantly work to create our memories, our feelings, and perceptions of ourselves and the world outside our physical selves. This opens a discussion about our thoughts and feelings that we call spiritual. One critical question becomes: Can a world of spirits/spirituality exist beyond the work of those neurons? Current science leads me to be skeptical.
