Dec. 31: Beginnings and Endings – Melody Moberg, preaching

“In the beginning.” Cycles of death and rebirth. “Beginnings and endings” is a striking title some Unitarian Universalist religious educators use to categorize world religion creation stories and stories about the end of the world.

On this New Year’s Eve, as we stand on the cusp of 2024, we have a unique opportunity to honor beginnings and endings, both individual and collective. And, we have an opportunity to dwell in the ever uncomfortable state of the in-between.

About Melody

Melody Moberg (she/her) is a Unitarian Universalist ministerial candidate and interfaith spiritual director. She worked as a religious educator in Seattle, WA, and received a Master of Divinity from Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry. She is honored to preach at the beloved congregation where she grew up and recently served as interim office administrator.
