What I Keep Learning: Reminders – Rev. Suzanne Wasilczuk, guest preacher
Reverend Suzanne talks about her work/play with kindergartners, and the many lessons she is blessed with every day.
Suzanne is a semi-retired UU minister who lives in Duluth with her recently mostly-retired spouse, Tim Stratton, and who works as a Foster Grandparent, a program administered by Lutheran Social Services, affiliated with AmeriCorps.
Community Focus Collection (CFC)
On the third weekend of each month (September – May), our Sunday collection is given to a pre-selected Ministry Partner, organization, or cause that puts our values into practice. This Sunday, our collection goes to NAOMI.
NAOMI stands for North central Area congregations Organized to Make an Impact. We aim to bring together communities of faith to create community, build leadership, and to identify and act on issues of injustice.
Their mission includes delivering a message of hope, healing, and unity as an interfaith community that reaches beyond the divisions of race, creed, and socio-economic barriers.
Guest speaker, Ron Alexander will be at Sunday’s service to share more information.
