Creativity Matters

Event Series (See All)

January 6, 2026 @ 7:00 pm 8:30 pm

Practicing Resistance

After exploring “choosing hope” in December, January invites us to focus on resistance and how creativity can help us stand firm, speak out, and act in the face of challenges. Through art and creative practice, we’ll examine the ways expression can bolster courage, clarify values, and sustain us when the world asks us to compromise or stay silent. Together, we’ll discover how making can be an act of resilience, empowerment, and quiet defiance, helping us shape the world we want to see.

Project Options

We will have supplies for Project Options from the January 2026 Creativity Matters packet*: D & E, and from the April 2023 Creativity Matters packet: D:

  • Rubberband Art
  • Your Word for The New Year
  • Wax Resistance Art

What is Creativity Matters?

Creativity Matters is a drop-in small group for teens and adults to slow down, connect, and explore monthly spiritual themes together through art and imagination.

It’s less about skill and more about play, allowing intuition, reflection, and creativity to guide us. Think of it as a gentle space where your right brain gets to dance with your left.

Each gathering offers time for sharing, creating, and simply being together. No experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a playful spirit.
