Adopt a Highway Clean Up Day
May 11 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
Please consider joining fellow church members as we clean up our section of highway as part of the Adopt-A -Highway program. Our section is located on County Highway J approximately 3 miles north of the intersection of J and State Highway 52 starting at Shorthorn Road. There is ample space to park on Shorthorn Rd. If we have enough volunteers, one group can start at the north end while the other works up from the south.
In the past this has taken only an hour or two.
As we will be walking along a highway, and with safety in mind, it is recommended that children under age 13 not participate. Be advised that the ditches are uneven ground and possibly wet. It is also tick season. Dress accordingly. Gloves and waterproof footwear are suggested. Safety vests and garbage bags will be provided.
Date of cleanup is Saturday, May 11th starting at 9:30 A.M. Rain date to be determined.
