DESCRIPTION:Awakening Curiosity\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMay’s Creativity Matters theme is Awakening Curiosity\, and invites us to follow our curiosity wherever it leads in our creative process\, letting questions\, wonder\, and unexpected interests guide what we notice and make. Through art\, we’ll explore new connections\, try new approaches\, and discover what emerges when curiosity is our starting point. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProject Options\n\n\n\nWe will have supplies for Project Options A\, D\, and E from the monthly Creativity Matters packet*: \n\n\n\n\nCuriosity Collage: inspired by the packet’s Cabinet of Curiosity activity\, this activity invites us to create a visual collection of small\, intriguing objects and images arranged as if in a personal mini-museum.\n\n\n\nGetting Curious with Cards: Make art inspired by tarot or oracle cards\, following your curiosity wherever it leads. You might pull a card\, then use its imagery\, symbols\, or mood for inspiration in your art. Or skip the deck entirely and let curiosity guide you in creating your own original card from scratch.\n\n\n\nBeginner’s Mind Art: Create a series of artworks based on something ordinary or familiar\, approaching it with a “beginner’s mind.” Choose a simple subject and make multiple variations of it over time\, changing at least one small element each time. \n\n\n\n\nDon’t have a copy of this month’s Creativity Matters guide? A sermon about recognition that arrives slowly\, the listening that turns out to be…well…everything. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis Month’s Ministry Partner\n\n\n\nOn the third weekend of each month\, our Sunday collection is given to a selected Ministry Partner who puts our mission statement into practice.  \n\n\n\nAs a congregation\, we continue to live our vision by volunteering at and donating to these influential community organizations and causes. \n\n\n\nThis month\, we’re proud to donate our Community Focus Collection to the Center for the Visual Arts.
