Governance

All UU churches are governed with “congregational polity.”  This form of governance means that each local congregation has the power and responsibility to establish its bylaws, set its own mission, call and hire its own clergy, and elect a Board of Trustees to oversee policy and financial matters.

At least once each year, the entire congregation meets, late in the fall, to approve a budget for the next calendar year and to make any other necessary congregational decisions as set out in the church bylaws.
