SUMMARY:OWL 7-9
DESCRIPTION:Our Whole Lives Grades 7-9\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGrounded in the core values of self-worth\, responsibility\, justice\, and inclusivity\, Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a positive\, comprehensive sexuality education program that helps young people make informed\, responsible decisions about their relationships\, health\, and well-being. The 7th–9th grade curriculum creates a supportive space for youth to explore topics\, like: healthy relationships\, gender identity & sexual orientation\, sexual health\, consent\, and cultural influences on sexuality. \n\n\n\nOWL encourages youth to actively explore and reflect on their own values\, attitudes\, and beliefs\, and through open dialogue and skill-building\, participants gain tools to make informed\, thoughtful\, and responsible decisions about their relationships\, sexual health\, and behavior. \n\n\n\nThis program is open to youth in grades 7–9 (or homeschool equivalent\, typically ages 12–14 as of September 1\, 2025) who have not previously taken OWL. \n\n\n\nRegistration for this year’s OWL program is now closed. We will offer OWL 7-9th grade again during the 2026-2027 school year. \n\n\n\nFor more information\, please contact the Director of Religious Education.

SUMMARY:Sunday Worship And Glorified Coffee Hour
DESCRIPTION:What I Keep Learning: Reminders –  Rev. Suzanne Wasilczuk\, guest preacher\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nReverend Suzanne talks about her work/play with kindergartners\, and the many lessons she is blessed with every day. \n\n\n\nSuzanne is a semi-retired UU minister who lives in Duluth with her recently mostly-retired spouse\, Tim Stratton\, and who works as a Foster Grandparent\, a program administered by Lutheran Social Services\, affiliated with AmeriCorps. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCommunity Focus Collection (CFC)\n\n\n\nOn the third weekend of each month (September – May)\, our Sunday collection is given to a pre-selected Ministry Partner\, organization\, or cause that puts our values into practice. This Sunday\, our collection goes to NAOMI. \n\n\n\nNAOMI stands for North central Area congregations Organized to Make an Impact. We aim to bring together communities of faith to create community\, build leadership\, and to identify and act on issues of injustice.  \n\n\n\nTheir mission includes delivering a message of hope\, healing\, and unity as an interfaith community that reaches beyond the divisions of race\, creed\, and socio-economic barriers.  \n\n\n\nGuest speaker\, Ron Alexander will be at Sunday’s service to share more information.

SUMMARY:Practice Matters
DESCRIPTION:It is not joy that makes us grateful\, it is gratitude that makes us joyful. – David Steindl-Rast \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMore and more people are seeking meaningful spiritual practices\, and Practice Matters helps you explore them through doing\, not just talking. Each drop-in session introduces a spiritual practice\, shows how it meets universal human longings\, and gives you space to experience it alongside others. \n\n\n\nWe’ll also spend time reflecting and discussing the practice in light of that month’s Soul Matters theme. No preparation or commitment is needed; just bring your curiosity and an open heart. \n\n\n\nNovember’s theme is nurturing gratitude\, and we’ll explore it through laughter meditation\, a joyful practice that opens the heart and cultivates connection.
