The roles we play\, the certainties we lean on\, the version of ourselves we’ve worked hard to maintain. On this last Sunday of Lent\, this sermon asks what’s actually load-bearing. What remains when the rest falls away\, and what it costs to find out. \n\n\n\nOur guest musician this Sunday will be Karen Zuidema\, the Musical Director for the Wausau ProMusica auditioned women’s singing group.  Joining her will be members of our UU Choir who are also part of ProMusica.  Zuidema is well known in Wisconsin for her many contributions to the state’s school choral programs.

Often\, we haven’t had the chance to fully articulate our faith or explore how it shapes our daily lives. This Adult RE series offers hands-on sessions to bridge that gap\, giving participants practical tools to bring UU values into everyday life. \n\n\n\nThrough guided exercises\, participants will explore ways to share who they are and what Unitarian Universalism means to them\, bring intention and meaning into daily routines\, and create space for rest\, renewal\, and hope. DESCRIPTION:Our Whole Lives Grades 7-9\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGrounded in the core values of self-worth\, responsibility\, justice\, and inclusivity\, Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a positive\, comprehensive sexuality education program that helps young people make informed\, responsible decisions about their relationships\, health\, and well-being. The 7th–9th grade curriculum creates a supportive space for youth to explore topics\, like: healthy relationships\, gender identity & sexual orientation\, sexual health\, consent\, and cultural influences on sexuality.  \n\n\n\nOWL encourages youth to actively explore and reflect on their own values\, attitudes\, and beliefs\, and through open dialogue and skill-building\, participants gain tools to make informed\, thoughtful\, and responsible decisions about their relationships\, sexual health\, and behavior. \n\n\n\nThis program is open to youth in grades 7–9 (or homeschool equivalent\, typically ages 12–14 as of September 1\, 2025) who have not previously taken OWL.  \n\n\n\nRegistration for this year’s OWL program is now closed. This seasonal art gathering invites participants to explore themes of emergence\, attention\, and the slow awakening of spring and imagination through art-making. \n\n\n\nChoose a project that calls to you or bring your own: \n\n\n\n\nBalanced Collage – Choose a few shapes and images\, then arrange them thoughtfully on the page\, paying attention to balance\, symmetry\, and open space. This project invites you to notice how separate pieces relate to one another.\n\n\n\nEmbroidered Mandala – Create a stitched mandala as a way to slow down\, focus\, and notice the present moment. Each stitch is a small\, intentional act\, helping you connect with balance and the rhythms of the season.\n\n\n\nSpring Egg Art – Decorate a wooden egg as a symbol of new life and possibility. Explore color\, pattern\, or meaning in whatever way feels right to you.\n\n\n\n\nOur Saturday Art Gatherings welcome artists\, crafters\, and creative beginners alike\, and are open to adults and teens.
