DESCRIPTION:The First Presbyterian Church started serving free meals every Sunday beginning in 2006. Our church is one of 17 congregations and community groups that provide meals 52 times each year.  \n\n\n\nPost-pandemic\, meals have been distributed strictly through drive-up. Presbyterian Chuck Schlitz and his committee don’t see this service returning to the dining hall in the near future. \n\n\n\nOur church generously provides meals four times a year\, the first Sundays in October\, November\, February\, and March.  \n\n\n\nPast practice has been to make the food in someone’s home and assemble the food in containers at the church kitchen. Four to five people are needed on those Sundays to help with packing and distribution as people drive up. Typically\, about 100 meals are distributed. \n\n\n\nAny church member interested in helping with these meals can contact Marsha Fitzgerald at 715-298-1419 or 715-551-5618.  \n\n\n\nA special thanks to many of you who have been very generous in providing homemade desserts for distribution and who helped with distribution. \n\n\n\n*This post has been lightly edited for length

What does it mean to live in alignment with it?  How does Daoism’s historical context help us understand it better?  And\, how has Daoism been misunderstood by Westerners who project their own worldviews onto it? \n\n\n\nMelody Moberg (she/her) is a Unitarian Universalist ministerial candidate and interfaith spiritual director. She worked as a religious educator in Seattle\, WA\, and received a Master of Divinity from Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry. She is honored to preach at the beloved congregation where she grew up. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nJoin Us On Sundays For Services That Inform & Inspire\n\n\n\nSermons at UU Wausau encompass many topics\, but always with the intent of cultivating dialogue and fostering growth. DESCRIPTION:It’s time to search for your best recipes for the annual soup and nut bread sale.  Please bring the soup in a glass quart size jar and labeled if you wish.   \n\n\n\nIf you are unable to bring your soup and or bread on Sunday\, Feb. 25\, please label it and place it in the freezer in the kitchen.  \n\n\n\nExtra jars will be made available in the atrium a week before the sale.
