DESCRIPTION:Youth Group – Value Quest: Exploring What Matters Most\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis year\, our youth will explore the values they chose as the most important to them – Adventure\, Honesty\, Play & Humor\, Fun\, Conscience & Integrity\, Generosity\, Forgiveness\, Kindness & Respect\, Creativity\, Learning & Growing\, Family & Connections\, Peace\, Friendship\, and Fairness & Equity.Together\, they’ll dive into big questions: How can I make time for play and humor in my life? How can I live in a way that reflects my deepest values? What does it mean to live generously? How do you begin again in love? And through conversation\, service\, games\, and shared experiences\, they’ll discover how to carry these values with them as they move into adulthood. \n\n\n\nReach out to our Director of Religious Education to find out the theme for any particular week and learn how your youth can jump in and be part of the fun.

DESCRIPTION:Our Whole Lives Grades 7-9\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGrounded in the core values of self-worth\, responsibility\, justice\, and inclusivity\, Our Whole Lives (OWL) is a positive\, comprehensive sexuality education program that helps young people make informed\, responsible decisions about their relationships\, health\, and well-being. The 7th–9th grade curriculum creates a supportive space for youth to explore topics\, like: healthy relationships\, gender identity & sexual orientation\, sexual health\, consent\, and cultural influences on sexuality.  \n\n\n\nOWL encourages youth to actively explore and reflect on their own values\, attitudes\, and beliefs\, and through open dialogue and skill-building\, participants gain tools to make informed\, thoughtful\, and responsible decisions about their relationships\, sexual health\, and behavior. \n\n\n\nThis program is open to youth in grades 7–9 (or homeschool equivalent\, typically ages 12–14 as of September 1\, 2025) who have not previously taken OWL.  \n\n\n\nRegistration for this year’s OWL program is now closed. DESCRIPTION:Embodying Resilience\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFebruary’s Creativity Matters theme is “embodying resilience.” Through reflection and creative expression\, we’ll explore how slowing down and noticing the beauty in our creativity can help us recognize that making art itself can be an act of resilience. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProject Options\n\n\n\nWe will have supplies for Project Options A\, B\, and D from the monthly Creativity Matters packet*: \n\n\n\n\nImages of Your Resilience Collage\n\n\n\nThe Resilience of Rubbish Junk Art\n\n\n\nBeauty in Loss Paper Weaving\n\n\n\n\nDon’t have a copy of this month’s Creativity Matters guide? Sign up to be part of the mailing list or reach out to our Director of Religious Education for a copy! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Creativity Matters?\n\n\n\nCreativity Matters is a drop-in small group for teens and adults to slow down\, connect\, and explore monthly spiritual themes together through art and imagination. \n\n\n\nIt’s less about skill and more about play\, allowing intuition\, reflection\, and creativity to guide us. Think of it as a gentle space where your right brain gets to dance with your left. \n\n\n\nEach gathering offers time for sharing\, creating\, and simply being together. No experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a playful spirit.

DESCRIPTION:Sparks of Light: A Mid-winter Art Gathering\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAt the heart of winter\, when the days are still short and the world feels quiet\, we gather to notice the first signs of returning light. This seasonal art gathering invites you to explore hope\, emergence\, and the subtle shifts of the season through creative expression. \n\n\n\nChoose a project that calls to you or bring your own: \n\n\n\n\nEmerging Light Collage – Cut or tear shapes representing light breaking through winter and what is emerging in you\n\n\n\nTissue Paper Lantern – Create a simple lantern that glows with your own symbol of light and hope for the season.\n\n\n\nArt Journal – Explore the things you want to “bring to light” in the coming season through your own journal pages\n\n\n\nCommunity Sunburst Mural – Using your favorite medium\, contribute a ray of light to a shared mural celebrating the collective emergence of warmth and possibility.\n\n\n\n\nOur Saturday Art Gatherings welcome artists\, crafters\, and creative beginners alike\, and are open to adults and teens. We provide examples\, gentle guidance\, and a variety of supplies to spark your process. Participants are also welcome to bring materials from home to use or share at our community resource table! \n\n\n\nSuggested Items to Bring: \n\n\n\n\nJournal or Sketchbook\n\n\n\nTissue paper\, vellum\, or translucent scraps \n\n\n\nMetallic or foil paper \n\n\n\nFabric scraps or ribbon \n\n\n\nHot glue gun and glue sticks
