DESCRIPTION:This year\, our Children’s RE group is blending our play-based model with Holy Troublemakers & Unconventional Saints\, an illustrated collection by Daneen Akers that highlights people from diverse faiths who have stood up for justice and love\, even when it meant challenging the status quo.  \n\n\n\nWe’ll learn about inspiring figures like: \n\n\n\n\nBayard Rustin\n\n\n\nFred Rogers\n\n\n\nValarie Kaur\n\n\n\nKaitlin Curtice\n\n\n\nThich Nhat Hanh\n\n\n\nRumi\n\n\n\nMary Oliver\n\n\n\n\nAnd we’ll be adding our own Unitarian\, Universalist\, and Unitarian Universalist ancestors\, including Norbert Čapek and Francis Ellen Watkins Harper. \n\n\n\nEach Sunday\, elementary school-aged participants will discover one of these holy troublemakers and then explore the week’s themes in our open play spaces\, including an art room\, contemplation room\, make-believe room\, game area\, nature space\, music space\, and makerspace.

DESCRIPTION:Several Sundays throughout the year\, including this one\, we worship as a community of all ages! Please note: RE groups will not meet today.  \n\n\n\nThese Sundays mark important days in our congregation and holidays. They are times for celebrating and sharing and often include interactive elements. \n\n\n\nSupplies (coloring & activity sheets\, and fidgets) and worship-related materials to help children follow along are available. The balcony and family room are also open for families who would like more space to move. \n\n\n\nThis year\, our All-Ages Services are Sept. 10\, Oct. 29\, Nov. 19\, Dec. 17\, Dec. 24\, Feb. 11\, Mar. 31\, Apr. 21\, May 19\, and June 9.

DESCRIPTION:*Camp RE requires a separate registration. \n\n\n\nMeeting once a month on a day that DC Everest and/or Wausau School Districts does not meet\, children (K-6th) are invited to spend the day learning and playing at U Wausau. \n\n\n\nEach month\, we’ll explore a theme at the heart of Unitarian Universalism through games\, activities\, stories\, and projects. There will be time spent indoors and out\, solo and group work/play\, and if needed\, time to log on for school work. \n\n\n\n2023/2024 Camp RE Dates\n\n\n\nSeptember 29\, October 26\, January 15\, February 19\, March 8\, and April 26\, 9:00am-4:00pm. Open to children in K-6th grade
