SUMMARY:Creativity Matters
DESCRIPTION:Healing\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHealing is rarely something that simply happens to us. More often\, it is something we participate in\, through small acts of courage\, imagination\, connection\, and care.  \n\n\n\nAt November’s Creativity Matters session\, we’ll explore how creativity can become a pathway to healing\, and as we create\, we’ll make space for the many ways creativity invites healing\, renewal\, and transformation in our lives and in our community. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProject Options\n\n\n\nWe will have supplies for Project Options A\, C\, and F from the monthly Creativity Matters packet* \n\n\n\n\nBody Mapping is a creative practice that invites us to listen to our bodies and honor the stories they carry. Using drawing\, painting\, collage\, or other materials\, you’ll create a body map that reflects experiences of both hurt and healing\, exploring the resilience\, wisdom\, and memories held within. \n\n\n\nZentangle is a meditative drawing practice that uses repeated patterns to encourage mindfulness\, creative expression\, and relaxation. As you create\, you’ll have an opportunity to slow down\, focus on the present moment\, and experience the calming\, healing benefits of the process.\n\n\n\nThe Places That Heal You invites you to creatively honor a place that has brought you comfort\, belonging\, strength\, or renewal. Using any medium\, reflect on the landscapes\, rooms\, or corners of the world that have held your story and shaped your healing.\n\n\n\n\nDon’t have a copy of this month’s Creativity Matters guide? Think of it as making room for your right brain to dance with your left brain. \n\n\n\nCreativity Matters is a high school and adult group designed for everyone — no experience or artistic skill is required! Just bring a playful spirit and adventurous attitude.
