DESCRIPTION:Give yourself the gift of creativity this Mother’s Day Weekend! \n\n\n\nClassic community collage — or the art of selecting\, arranging\, and combining diverse elements into harmonious chaos — is an overlooked way to connect. \n\n\n\nJoin us for a slow morning of casual Coffee & Classic Collage on Saturday\, May 11th\, in the sun-filled atrium from 8am-1pm. As always\, join our monthly group theme or work on any art project that inspires you! \n\n\n\n\nDitch your to-do list. Ignore the laundry. Shake off perfectionism. And create for the sake of creating — No rules. No judgement. No apologies. \nCaylee Grey\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis peaceful gathering is for artists\, crafters\, and creative beginners alike. It is open to adults and high school-aged youth. It is the perfect mother-daughter date\, mom-and-mom hangout\, or missing-mom weekend activity. \n\n\n\nWe’ll provide examples\, gentle guidance\, and a few supplies to get you started. Participants are encouraged to bring materials from home to use or share for the day at the community resources table!  \n\n\n\nSuggested items include: \n\n\n\n\nOld magazines\, books\, and newspapers\n\n\n\nPhotographs to integrate \n\n\n\nDaily calendar quotes\n\n\n\nOld or blank greeting cards\n\n\n\nPoetry books for inspiration\n\n\n\nPreferred markers or water-based paints\n\n\n\nOld artwork you’d like to upcycle\n\n\n\nTextured items: thread\, netting from oranges\, etc\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect during this casual community art hangout: \n\n\n\n\n8 am-9 am: Early Bird Community Set-up! Feel free to arrive at your convenience. We’ll be brewing coffee\, putting out supplies\, setting up tables\, and art’ing together as people show up.\n\n\n\n9 am-12 pm: Casual Coffee & CollageLet the creativity begin! We’ll officially start the art hangout at 9am. Connect with others (or enjoy creative solitude) as you work on your collage piece.\n\n\n\n12 pm-1 pm: Community Clean-up! Return supplies and pick up your personal space. If your schedule and physical ability permit\, volunteer to help put away tables\, chairs\, and community supplies!\n\n\n\n\nSpace is limited. Registration for this relaxing morning of community art is preferred (so we can prepare supplies & snacks)\, but drop-ins are welcome. SUMMARY:Adopt a Highway Clean Up Day
DESCRIPTION:Please consider joining fellow church members as we clean up our section of highway as part of the Adopt-A -Highway program. Our section is located on County Highway J approximately 3 miles north of the intersection of  J and State Highway 52 starting at Shorthorn Road. There is ample space to park on Shorthorn Rd. If we have enough volunteers\, one group can start at the north end while the other works up from the south. \n\n\n\nIn the past this has taken only an hour or two. \n\n\n\nAs we will be walking along a highway\, and with safety in mind\, it is recommended that children under age 13 not participate. Be advised that the ditches are uneven ground and possibly wet. It is also tick season. Dress accordingly. Gloves and waterproof footwear are suggested. Safety vests and garbage bags will be provided. \n\n\n\nDate of cleanup is Saturday\, May 11th starting at 9:30 A.M.
