DESCRIPTION:Messy zine collage — or the art of selecting\, arranging\, and combining diverse elements into harmonious chaos — is an overlooked meditative and spiritual practice. \n\n\n\nJoin us for a slow morning of casual Coffee & Messy Zine Collage on Saturday\, April 6th\, in the atrium from 9am-12pm.  \n\n\n\nWe are holding space for you to get messy.  \n\n\n\n\nDitch your to-do list. Ignore the laundry. Shake off perfectionism. And create for the sake of creating — No rules. No judgement. No apologies. \nCaylee Grey\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick here to see a video tutorial of the messy zine process. \n\n\n\nThis peaceful gathering is for artists\, crafters\, and creative beginners alike\, and is open to adults and high school-aged youth. \n\n\n\nWe’ll provide a short & simple mini-zine-making tutorial\, gentle guidance\, and supplies to get you started. Participants may bring materials and tools from home to work on a project\, too. Suggested items: \n\n\n\n\nOld magazines\, books\, and newspapers\n\n\n\nPhotographs to integrate\n\n\n\nDaily calendar quotes\n\n\n\nOld or blank greeting cards\n\n\n\nPoetry books for inspiration\n\n\n\nPreferred markers or water-based paints\n\n\n\nOld artwork you’d like to upcycle\n\n\n\nTextured items: thread\, netting from oranges\, etc\n\n\n\n\nRegistration for this relaxing morning of community art is preferred (so we can prepare supplies & snacks)\, but drop-ins are welcome.
