DESCRIPTION:Slow stitch fabric collage — or the art of selecting\, arranging\, and combining diverse elements into harmonious chaos — is an overlooked meditative and spiritual practice. \n\n\n\nJoin us for a slow morning of casual Coffee & Slow Stitch Fabric Collage on Saturday\, March 9th\, in the atrium from 9am-12pm.  \n\n\n\nWe are holding space for you to get creative.  \n\n\n\n\nDitch your to-do list. Ignore the laundry. Shake off perfectionism. And create for the sake of creating — No rules. No judgement. No apologies. \nCaylee Grey\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis peaceful gathering is for artists\, crafters\, and creative beginners alike\, and is open to adults and high school-aged youth. \n\n\n\nWe’ll provide examples\, gentle guidance\, and supplies to get you started.  \n\n\n\nParticipants may bring materials and tools from home to work on a project\, too. Suggested items: \n\n\n\n\nFabric scraps\n\n\n\nEmbroidery thread\n\n\n\nSewing needles\n\n\n\nPhotographs\n\n\n\nBeads & buttons\n\n\n\nCloth placemats\n\n\n\nRetired wool clothing\n\n\n\nSafety pins\n\n\n\nYarn\n\n\n\nLace\n\n\n\nDoilies\n\n\n\nFelt\n\n\n\nOld scarves\n\n\n\nTea towels\n\n\n\nRetired jeans\n\n\n\nNature finds\n\n\n\n\nRegistration for this relaxing morning of community art is preferred (so we can prepare supplies & snacks)\, but drop-ins are welcome.
