SUMMARY:Creativity Matters
DESCRIPTION:Our Creativity Matters group helps community members engage in monthly themes and explore spiritual growth through creative expression. \n\n\n\nIt’s all about allowing our intuition and imagination to guide us\, not just our logic and reflective minds. Think of it as making room for your right brain to dance with your left brain. \n\n\n\nCreativity Matters is a high school and adult group designed for everyone — no experience or artistic skill is required! Just bring a playful spirit and adventurous attitude.

SUMMARY:Creativity Matters • Justice & Equity
DESCRIPTION:“Art is not a mirror held up to reality but a hammer with which to shape it.” \nBertolt Brecht\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFebruary’s Creativity Matters theme is “justice & equity.” In this session\, we will explore how art and creativity can help us heal from injustice and shape a more just and equitable world. \n\n\n\nBefore the session\, spend some time with our reflection questions: \n\n\n\n\n\nWhen was the first time you witnessed art support a struggle for justice? \n\n\n\nHas art and creativity ever helped you heal from an injustice?Do you believe that artists can change the world? If so\, exactly how do they do that? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProjects of the Month\n\n\n\nWe will have supplies for Project Option A\, C\, and E from the monthly Creativity Matters packet* \n\n\n\n\nThe Emotional Side of Injustice Art \n\n\n\nResistance Art \n\n\n\nArtistically Amplify Your Favorite Justice Quote \n\n\n\n\n*Don’t have a copy of this month’s Creativity Matters guide? Reach out to our Director of Religious Education for a copy! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBring a Friend\n\n\n\nCreativity Matters is a high school and adult group designed for everyone — no experience or artistic skill is required! Just bring a playful spirit and adventurous attitude. Share this page or invite your friends via our Facebook event. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat is Creativity Matters?\n\n\n\nOur Creativity Matters group helps community members engage in monthly themes and explore spiritual growth through creative expression. \n\n\n\nIt’s all about allowing our intuition and imagination to guide us\, not just our logic and reflective minds.
