DESCRIPTION:A Season Best Savored Slowly – The Rev’d Brian Mason preaching \n\n\n\nBeing an adult is cool\, but only kinda. For starters\, holidays aren’t quite as simple as they once were. Loss\, stress\, war\, cultural nihilism\, bifocals\, taxes\, winter. But then\, lest we forget\, there’s also Dolly Parton\, Oreos\, laser tag\, and seeds planted somewhere waiting to burst with life. The global church just flipped the calendar from “Ordinary Time” to “Advent\,” a season that invites us to meditate on the tension between what is and what’s being hoped for. This Sunday we’ll explore the joy of counting down and Advent’s theme of expectant waiting. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis Month’s Ministry Partner\n\n\n\nOn the third weekend of each month\, our Sunday collection is given to a selected Ministry Partner who puts our mission statement into practice.  \n\n\n\nAs a congregation\, we continue to live our vision by volunteering at and donating to these influential community organizations and causes. \n\n\n\nThis month\, we’re proud to donate our Community Focus Collection to TBA. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Us On Sundays For Services That Inform & Inspire\n\n\n\nSermons at UU Wausau encompass many topics\, but always with the intent of cultivating dialogue and fostering growth. On any given Sunday\, you will hear a sermon that stimulates your thinking about life\, opens a new perspective on the Bible\, or speaks to the state of the world with words of hope or healing. DESCRIPTION:Do you need a hostess gift for the Holidays?  Or a consumable gift for that person who has everything?  Consider our Fair Trade goods.  You can purchase coffee\, chocolate\, cocoa or cashews from our Fair Trade supplies.  We’ll even have some gift bags for you to pack your purchases. \n\n\n\nAvailable during coffee hour on December 10th and 17th\, \n\n\n\nProfits from sales of Fair Trade Goods support the Ari Schmidt Troublemaker Fund for Bus\, Bail and Pizza which provides assistance to First UU members and participants who undertake social justice experiences or projects.
