“There and Back Again: Zen Journeys” Led by Dr. Donna Keuck, guest speaker

Dr. Donna Keuck, Japanese sociologist and practicing Obaku Zen Buddhist, will continue exploring the practice of equanimity (Sanskrit: upekṣā; Japanese:  sha), as
recounted in the travel narratives of Chan/Zen masters and in her life journey.  How does equanimity sustain us in the wide world?  What habits help us tap the wellsprings of calm at the core of our Selves?  Participants will have an opportunity to sample the sitting meditation of Zen Buddhism.
