Transition Team

Interim Planning Overview

The UUTT set forth the following “itinerary” for the journey ahead. Together in March of 2016 within a series of listening sessions, we will all have input into creating out Congregational Covenant. Our covenant, the ways we agree to conduct ourselves for the work ahead, will create the mantle on which will hang our Mission and Vision, the work we dream and endeavor to accomplish.  Throughout April and May 2016, everyone is invited to envision who we want this church to be for ourselves, our Wausau community, and our larger world. Committing to covenant with one another, a clearly articulated mission and vision make our call for a new minister purposeful and successful.  Our Board, with support from our Transition Team, will compile all the feedback from the March, April and May and create a draft documents available for view in late Spring 2016. These will be revised over the summer, and presented to the congregation for final adoption process in early fall. This sets us up beautifully to dovetail with the Search committee’s need to post First UU’s search materials online Nov. 1. A new Covenant, Mission, and Vision, will also launch our October 2016 Pledge with a clear vision for ourselves.
