“I love my ancestors even though they died.” CeCe Venne, age 5.
July 8 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 pm
Service Leader: Greg Venne
Our grand daughter hears stories about our ancestors. Pictures of her great-great grandparents hang on the walls of her Brooklyn apartment. She can literally see Ellis Island from her neighborhood that sets above the harbor.
Lee Ann and I will briefly tell our stories on how one side of our family came to America. We each have a couple of pictures to share. Perhaps you have something similar.
In smaller groups, we will ask you to share a story of one of your ancestors. Focus on either the first generation to enter America, or the next generation that worked to assimilate. Feel free to bring a picture or two or even an artifact that has been passed down.
This service is designed to honor the immigrant experience we all share!
See you there. Greg Venne
